Why!?!? Why do they bring them back!? Like we won’t notice

Cat pee smell is all but impossible to get of anything that exists on this planet.

Since I deal with mostly circulating collections, whenever I get gross patron-damaged books, I ask myself, “Would *I* want to touch this, if I were checking it out for myself?”

The answer is usually no

Hence, we tend to order a replacement copy, replace the case by sending it to the commercial library bindery, or make photocopy replacements of the affected pages.
