Unattributed bindings
These are bindings that were either custom (i.e. "one off") bindings, or early 19th century bookseller's trade bindings.
Per Etherington, trade bindings could be described as a style of binding that was:
"associated in England in the first half of the 19th century with bindings of wholesale booksellers, especially those who catered to the provincial and foreign book trade. The booksellers brought new books in sheets and had them bound independently of the publishers."
