I am professionally trained book and paper conservator. As the current Conservator and head of the Preservation Services department at Arizona State University Library, I have extensive experience in preservation administration, collection management, and preservation outreach.
Improving collection management workflows, figuring out how to automate tedious yet important data gathering tasks via spreadsheets, and finding new ways to make smarter data-driven decisions about preservation needs are also professional interests of mine.
I am also the creator and manager of the Bookbinding Dictionary, a wiki project I started in 2008 in order to document bookbinding terms in a variety of languages.
