Beatrice studied art at the Clapton School of Art. She was hired by Lewis foreman Day to be his assistant, and worked for him from 1898-1904.

She opened her own studio, where she provided designs for book and magazine covers, embroidery, wallpapers, textiles, woodcarvings, stencils, and other design services. She also gave lessons in calligraphy, illumination, and design. The studio was located at 105, Great Russell Street, Bloomsbury Street, in London.
