Bostonians know their city is a special place for arts and culture, with a fascinating bohemian past, the details of which are mostly forgotten. This film re-introduces a mysterious but influential group of 1890s friends that included photographer/publisher F. Holland Day (a mentor to both Kahlil Gibran and William Steichen) writer/architect Ralph Adams Cram, poet Louise Imogen Guiney, Painter Thomas Buford Meteyard, and designer/architect Bertram Goodhue. Together they launched a quest to preserve beauty, truth, and friendship in a rapidly changing world.
