My reaction when our special collections and archives department FINALLY announced they are switching over from white cotton gloves (about which I have MANY feels) to nitrile gloves:

So now when you go into our reading room to look at photographs or fragile things, they’re going to give you some nice blue gloves, with which you can actually feel what you’re doing instead of those awful white cotton gloves:

Meanwhile, I’m in the conservation lab like:

…because I wash my hands every 10 minutes, and never wear lotion at work. But yes, I DO wear gloves when handling photographs.
